Stay at best hotel pools in Myanmar for a great time and relaxing after a great touring day.
Myanmar has beautiful tropical weather all year round. However, a caveat is that it can get pretty humid, especially from March to May. It may be tempting to spend your days dipping in the pool or getting your vacation tan on while lounging about with a cocktail. After exploring the best Myanmar has to offer, our team at MyanMarvels have found some of our favourite hotels with gorgeous swimming pools – whether it’s an infinity pool boasting beautiful sunset views of the Yangon River or one overlooking the Shwedagon Pagoda.
Rosewood Yangon @ Best Hotel Pools in Myanmar
Housed in a stunning 1927 heritage building, this luxury hotel in Yangon takes over a structure that was once home to the New Law Courts for British Burma. This architectural gem has been meticulously restored, incorporating contemporary amenities and comfort while preserving the splendour of the building’s past. Splash out on the Rosewood Suite, a combination of old world and new, which comes with a separate enclosed bedroom and spacious terrace ideal for a leisurely afternoon tea or romantic dinner.
The pool: Located on the rooftop level of the hotel, the infinity pool looks out to beautiful sunset views of the Yangon River for the perfect Yangon experience.

Sofitel Inle Lake @ Best Hotel Pools in Myanmar
Discover a Myanmar less travelled at one of our favourite hotels in Myanmar, the Sofitel Inle Lake. Located on a picturesque freshwater lake, the hotel seamlessly merges French art de vivre with Burmese culture. It is one of the last new hotels to be built directly on Inle Lake and boasts the best of both worlds, overlooking the lake on one side and mountains on the other.
The pool: There are two swimming pools on the property: a lakeside infinity pool looking out to stunning views of the lake and outdoor swimming pool where you can bask under the sun for a gorgeous summer tan.

Novotel Inle Lake @ Best Hotel Pools in Myanmar
The award-winning Novotel Inle Lake Myat Min, located on the east bank of the peaceful waters of Inle Lake, is an ideal retreat from the hustle and bustle of Myanmar’s bigger cities. While it’s a peaceful sanctuary to escape from daily stressors, the resort is still located a short drive away from the lively attractions of Nyaung Shwe town center, boasting the perfect combination of isolation and sightseeing spots.
The pool: Slip into one of the hotel’s infinity pools for a cooling dip – especially as you watch the sunset descend over the lake, providing an unforgettable backdrop.
Pan Pacific Yangon @ Best Hotel Pools in Myanmar
One of MyanMarvel’s favourite hotels in Yangon, Pan Pacific Yangon boasts endless comfort, state of the art facilities and stunning views of the shimmering Shwedagon Pagoda (one of the oldest Buddhist stupa in the world with history dating back to over 2,000 years). Foodies will find a variety of tantalising dining concepts too, from the Saan Restaurant offering contemporary Myanmar cuisine to Hai Tien Lo, a Cantonese dining establishment.
The pool: For one of the best photo-taking spots in Yangon, the hotel’s outdoor infinity swimming pool doesn’t disappoint. Take a dip after a long day of exploring Yangon and gaze out to the city’s iconic landmarks and skyline.
Bagan Thiripyitsaya Sanctuary Resort
Situated along the banks of the legendary Irrawaddy river, this resort sprawls over 24 acres of landscaped gardens with mature tropical trees and flowering plants. Here’s a fun fact you probably didn’t know: the historical Bagan Thiripyitsaya Sanctuary Resort was established 30 years ago as the Government’s guesthouse for elite visitors. It has since undergone an extensive and careful restoration and is now one of the most prestigious resorts in Bagan.
The pool: The resort is home to one of the largest swimming pools in the area. As the sun goes down, the resort’s lights lend a soft glow to the poolside area, resulting in picturesque views and once-in-a-lifetime photo opportunities.
Hotel by the Red Canal Mandalay
Amidst the hustle and bustle of Myanmar’s cultural city, Hotel by the Red Canal Mandalay is an oasis by the iconic Red Canal. The boutique-style sanctuary is surrounded by lush tropical greenery and calming water features, but is just minutes away from the famed Mandalay Palace and other tourist attractions. The 25 well-designed suites are decked in wonderful furnishings made from local materials such as teak and mother-of-pearl, with each suite representing one of the four major ethnic groups in Myanmar – namely Chin, Kachin, Rakhine and Shan.
The pool: This hotel has one of the coolest happy hours we’ve been to, held by the small kidney-shaped pool nestled in the hotel’s gardens.
Awei Pila Resort
Nestled on a private beach and surrounded by a virgin forest on Pila Island, Awei Pila Resort is a high-end luxury resort only accessible by boat. Enjoy views of the turquoise Andaman Sea from the resort’s collection of chic, tented villa accommodations. We love the outdoor bathrooms where guests can have a refreshing shower under the stars, and private terraces that are surrounded by manicured gardens.
The pool: The resort’s infinity pool is an ideal viewing spot for sunset. Located just a stone’s throw away from the beach, it’s a great place to go for a dip or an afternoon lounging around in one of the recliners.
