In the morning we will be pick up from your hotel on the Inle Lake by your guide and begin your Inle Lake Tour.
After breakfast, we enjoy some fresh air with a relaxing boat trip along the river as far as Indein, passing small settlements and numerous fishermen on the way. A small and peaceful village, Indein is known for its exceptional local market and magnificent array of pagodas, many of which date back as far as the 16th century. Such is the number and array of the pagodas that some have even compared them to a forest! We spend some time exploring the area before enjoying a delicious local lunch.
In the afternoon, we join a traditional cooking class on the lake where you will learn to prepare and cook a number of traditional dishes. Food in the Inle Lake region is different to that found in other parts of the Shan state, and you will learn how fresh produce grown on the lake itself, along with freshly caught fish, forms a crucial part of the diet for the local people. After our class, we return to our accommodation for the night.
